Founder
Ann Marie McHenry
Ann Marie McHenry, Certified Professional Coach and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with nearly two decades of experience as a therapist and ten years of business experience, by way of founding, scaling and selling a multi-million dollar company.
In 2016, I established my first business, Awakened Heart PDX. This was a mental health private practice that within several years was generating millions in revenue. It began as my solo practice where I worked with individuals and couples.
Relationships are my specialty
My practice filled and I referred out regularly to other clinicians in the community, effectively filling their practices. I decided to hire my first clinician in 2019 to keep those referrals in-house. By 2024 I had a team of 25 including admin staff, therapists, social workers, nurse practitioners and an acupuncturist.
I sold my business to a Fortune 500 company in 2025
From start to finish, the personal and professional development I experienced in this business was grueling… and life-changing. I never thought I’d lead a team and scale a business, let alone sell. These were complete impossibilities until I started working with a business coach.
